Herbal Sinus Steam: Cleanse, Refresh, Decongest
I love to use herbal steams when I am congested to help bring relief & open up airways. I also like to use this blend to cleanse, refresh, & add moisture to the air when there is excessive dryness.
Bring 4-6 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 Tbsp. of the herbal mixture.
Cover your head with a towel and position your face over the pot, using the towel as a tent to hold the steam in.
With your eyes closed and face 5-10 inches away from the hot water, breathe in the herbal goodness for 5-10 minutes at a time.
The combination of hot steam plus the evaporating volatile oils from the herbs makes it very difficult for pathogens to survive and stimulates an immune response in the mucous membranes.
Ingredients: Thyme, peppermint, sage, rosemary, lavender, orange peels
